Disclaimer Clauses

Gradings issued by the nMSME grading system of Nigeria are our current opinions on the relative performance of nano, micro, small, and medium enterprises, and the related publications may include such current opinions.

The nMSME grading system defines relative performance as the comparable performance of an nMSME across the six defined grading parameters, which are:
1- The industry and market opportunity grading,
2- The business insights gradings,
3- The management grading,
4- The financial grading,
5- The social media grading and
6- The legal and compliance grading.

The performance of the business across these six areas is then compared to other businesses in both the same industry and business classification (nano, Micro, Small, Medium).

These gradings do not address any other risk, including but not limited to: liquidity risk, market value risk, price risk or the probability of default.

Gradings and other opinions included in the grading system’s publications are not statements of current or historical fact. The grading system’s publications may also include quantitative model-based estimates and related opinions or commentary within other of Smedan’s publications.

These gradings, assessments, other opinions and publications do not constitute or provide investment or financial advice,  and the grading system’s gradings, assessments, other opinions and publications are not and do not provide recommendations to either do business with or purchase, sell or hold any securities of a graded entity.

The gradings, assessments, other opinions and publications do not comment on the suitability of a graded entity for any particular investor.

The grading system issues its gradings, assessments and other opinions and publishes its publications with the expectation and understanding that each end-user of the grading will, with due care, make its own study and evaluation of each graded entity that is under consideration for potentially doing business with.

nMSMEs that have requested these gradings understand the pilot nature of the project, and specifically that the gradings, as well as the grading process:
